INDIVIDUAL PACKAGES

You will find the details and explanations about the Kas Explorers group packages below. They are:

1-Package for divers

2-Activity Package for non-divers

3-No activity package for non-divers

Please note that these three packages are valid for the divers and non-divers within the same group coming in the low season. The group should have minimum 10 divers, if there are some non-divers on top of this number, they will benefit the group prices and they will get different packages according to what they want to do during the holiday (activity package or no activity package below). Here are the programs for these packages: 

1-PACKAGES FOR THE PADI BEGINNER COURSE

Tour Program:

 DAY 1:

-Pick up from Dalaman or Antalya airport.

-Transfer by comfortable cars/busses to the hotel in Kas (2 hours from Dalaman, 3 hours from Antalya airport).

-General briefing about the hotel, diving, and Kas in the hotel’s beach bar with a welcome drink.

-Free time: Resting / Discovering the town / Reading the course book.

-Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant from 20:00 to 22:00. Open buffet dinner with freshly and traditionally made local Turkish meals. The drinks during the meals and elsewhere in the hotel are extra but not expensive.

 DAY 2-6:

-Open buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00.

-Diving.

The adventure begins in our club house. The guests start the course by signing the liability releases. Then, we let them try some diving gear on and prepare a box of gear for everyone. On the first day of the course, we do some theory by watching DVD and answering knowledge review questions on the course book, dive in the pool (which is upstairs of our club house) to learn the basics of the course, and check all the knowledge by answering some quizzes.

The next day we might stay in the pool if we need to do more skills, and we go out by boat when the guests are ready for the open water dives. The theory goes along with the dives during the lunch breaks and in the evenings. After the 5 sessions of confined water dives are finished in the pool, we do 4 open water dives by boat.

The boat goes out two times a day for one dive at a time. Daily tours with lunch on the boat are also possible on request.

Morning dive: The boat leaves the harbor at 9:30, and after the dive (with a 3-D dive briefing with special underwater toys-very popular-), turns back to the harbor around 12:30.

Afternoon dive: The boat leaves the harbor at 15:00, and after the dive (with the briefing), turns back to the harbor around 18:00.

Our boat is 21 meters long and 7 meters wide. The capacity is 60 persons. She has two bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living room, together with a diving area for 45 divers with platform and two showers. Cold drinks, bottled water, coffee, Turkish tea and apple tea are available on the boat. Navigating bridge is on the top floor with a wide sun deck.  She is built to give a safe and comfortable environment to both divers and non-divers.

Diving in the area of Kas has the benefit of being considerably quieter than the other areas of Turkey. The reef systems are the least spoiled of the area and luxuriant walls, canyons and tunnels attract a fantastic range of reef and marine life.

Kas is the most bio-diverse reef region in Turkey. Because of this, Kas underwater is announced by the Government as 1^st degree protection area. No big fishing boats are allowed; our patrols control against destructive and non-sustainable fishing methods. This makes our dive sites home to an amazing variety of Mediterranean reef species from huge groupers to tiny nudibranches and many Lessepsian species coming from the Indo-Pacific through the Suez Channel. Sea turtles, Mediterranean monk seals and dolphins are also regularly spotted on our sites.

Kas is also famous with its wrecks. “Dimitri”, ancient Roman wreck, the old Italian bombard plane wreck from WW II, C-47 Dakota plane, “Duchess of York”, “Iberian Coast”, “Uluburun” and Arkeo-park are the most popular ones. We might dive on one of them after we finish the course within our depth limits.

Depending on what type of a dive the guests can make (according to their levels), we chose the dive sites from a wide range of dive spots which are maximum 45 minute away from the harbor and suitable for all levels of divers. 

Between Day 2 and Day 6, the guests will do the theory, 5 confined water sessions in the pool, and 4 open water dives in the sea. Since this is a performance based course, if after 4 open water dives, the guests do not reach the performance requirements, the instructor may suggest a couple of more course dives which will be extra. If the course is finished in 3 days, the guests may do some fun dives till the end of Day 6 which will be charged extra. Because of the flying after diving restrictions which will be taught in the course, no dive can be made on Day 7.

At the end of the course, there will be a final exam, and then the certification and the logbook will be signed. The temporary certification will be given to the diver immediately (this will be valid for three months) and original card will be sent to the diver’s address directly from PADI office in England.

 DAY 7: 

-Open buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00. 

-Free day: Enjoying the town, picking up presents. An activity tour can be arranged for the guests (hiking/cycling/sea-kayaking/paragliding) on request.

-Coffee is always ready for the guests who want to visit us in the club house.  

-Open buffet dinner at the hotel’s restaurant from 20:00 to 22:00.

DAY 8:

-Open buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00.

-Pick up from the hotel 5 hours before the flight to get to the airport by comfortable cars/busses.

2-PACKAGES FOR DIVERS

Tour Program:

 DAY 1:

-Pick up from Dalaman or Antalya airport.

-Transfer by comfortable cars/busses to the hotel in Kas (2 hours from Dalaman, 3 hours from Antalya airport).

-General briefing about the hotel, diving, and Kas in the hotel’s beach bar with a welcome drink.

-Free time: Resting / Discovering the town.

-Dinner at the hotel’s restaurant from 20:00 to 22:00. Open buffet dinner with freshly and traditionally made local Turkish meals. The drinks during the meals and elsewhere in the hotel are extra but not expensive. 

DAY 2-6:

-Open buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00.

-Diving.

The adventure begins in the hotel. The guests drop the diving bags on the back of our pick-up and sign the liability releases showing the certifications, logbooks and insurances. The diving bags are taken to the boat by our pick-up and the diving gear stays on the boat the whole week safe and clean. The guests are guided to the harbor by one of our assistants to get to the boat where they get a boat briefing in their own language.

The boat goes out two times a day for one dive at a time. Daily tours with lunch on the boat and night dives are also possible on request.

-Divers’ private diving gear is back in our club house, clean and dry, waiting to be packed into the diving bags. Coffee is ready when we stamp the logbooks in the club house.  

-Open buffet dinner at the hotel’s restaurant from 20:00 to 22:00.

 DAY 8:

-Open buffet breakfast in the hotel’s restaurant from 8:00 to 10:00. 

-Pick up from the hotel 5 hours before the flight to get to the airport by comfortable cars/busses.
